Been too busy to blog.

The Blue ball should hover under tether again this weekend.  I’ve been working on some un-fun but necessary infrastructure stuff to make our flying easier and more frequent. Things like keeping propellant cool when its 110 in the Mojave. Hopeful I’ll have pictures and video on Sunday. FloMetrics is also flying their LR-101 biprop so it should be a fun weekend.

Paul,
Any idea what time tomorrow you're expecting to start (there at FAR)? I'm planning on coming down with Jonny and needed to know how early I ought to leave.

Jon,
We are driving up tonight. We may try to fly around 10 as its supposed to get windy. The Flometrics guys and LR-101 rocket are driving up from San Diego Saturday Morning so I'd be shocked if that happened before 12:30.

I've we didn't have guests this town, I'd be tempted to ask if I could come up and watch. Another
time...
Good luck!

Since people are asking and not wanted to be any trouble. Would you be prepared to be visited by someone from Overseas? I would like to visit and some holiday time could be used sometime this year.

Well it looks like the fuel valve might have been stuck open for the trip up so some fuel leaked into the engine and cause a hard start, which cracked the LOX manifold. We did not bring a spare LOX manifold, so we had to bring the rocket home. However, we discovered that the Biodiesel is self extinguishing in a pool fire, so the test was not a total loss. Also the rocket came through unscathed.
